1. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar stated that the India – Bahrain cooperation continues to deepen. Dr Jaishankar concluded his two day visit to Bahrain.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India’s economy is playing a major role in driving global growth. Addressing the Indian community at Jakarta in Indonesia.

The Prime Minister said the highest civilian honour Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia conferred on him by the country is another symbol of the close friendship between the two nations.

3. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that a new chapter has been added to India’s education sector with the approval for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore to establish an overseas campus in Indonesia. The proposal was approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Indonesia.

4. India will host the two-day BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting in Kochi, Keralam, today.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development said the meeting will bring together ministers from BRICS member countries to strengthen cooperation and advance a shared vision for women-led development under India’s BRICS Chairship.

1. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has firmly refused to negotiations with Washington on a final agreement following remarks by US President Donald Trump. In a social media post, Araghchi cited the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States, stating that Tehran would not resume talks until Washington honoured its commitments.

2. Two explosions rocked Syria’s capital, Damascus this afternoon, injuring 18 people, including four police officers. The explosions occurred just before the meeting between French President Emmanuel Macron and his Syrian counterpart Ahmad al-Sharaa at the Presidential palace.

3. Eight people were killed and several others are reported missing after thunderstorms and gale-force winds triggered by severe convective weather struck the eastern part of central China’s Hubei Province.

4. A new United Nations estimate has put the direct physical damage caused by the twin earthquakes in Venezuela at 37 billion US dollars.

5. Venezuela’s National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez has said that the death toll from the twin earthquakes has risen to 3,535, while 16,740 people have been injured. On 24 June, two powerful earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck the South American nation in quick succession.

6. In Pakistan, Amid the intensifying political unrest in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the government in Islamabad, threatening a grand and final response on July 9, if their conditions remain unfulfilled.
