1. India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar delivered the keynote address at the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity 2026 in Jeju, South Korea, on 25 June 2026. He also held bilateral talks with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun in Seoul on 24 June 2026 during a two-day visit to South Korea.
2. India reactivated the Air Suvidha portal as AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 on 25 June 2026 for passengers arriving from or transiting through Ebola-affected countries. The portal requires an online Self-Declaration Form before deboarding and records a 21-day travel and exposure history for public health screening at entry points.
3. Centre approved over ₹500 crore on 25 June 2026 for the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) project in the Chennai Metropolitan Area. The project has an estimated value of about ₹645.59 crore and is funded through a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the Centre. The contract for ₹530 crore was signed with L&T on 31 March 2023, and JICA approved it on 6 June 2023.
4. India shines at the Green Oscars 2026 as Parveen Shaikh and Dr. Barkha Subba win the prestigious Whitley Awards for their outstanding contributions to wildlife conservation and environmental protection.
The prestigious ceremony took place at the Royal Geographical Society in London, where the awards were presented by Princess Anne of the United Kingdom on behalf of the Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN).
5. The Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement will act as force multiplier to support the global economy. Addressing the India Global Forum (IGF) UK-India Week in London.
6. Yesterday India hosted the 11th BRICS Energy Ministers’ Meeting in Gurugram, Haryana, under its BRICS Chairship 2026. The Ministry of Power said that the meeting brought together Energy Ministers, Vice Ministers and senior officials from BRICS member countries to discuss key global energy challenges and strengthen cooperation in the energy sector.
7. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today met Minister of Petroleum of Iran, Mohsen Paknejad, on the sidelines of BRICS Energy Ministers’ Meeting in Gurugram, Haryana yesterday.
8. India’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dinesh Trivedi, formally assumed office.
9. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a state visit to Seychelles from 27th to 29th of this month to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the National Day of Seychelles as the Guest of Honour. Prime Minister last visited Seychelles in 2015.

1. NASA’s Perseverance rover detected complex, macromolecular carbon in two Martian mudstones on 24 June 2026. The samples came from the Bright Angel outcrop in Neretva Vallis within Jezero Crater on Mars.
2. Two earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck western Venezuela on 24 June 2026. The epicentres were reported near Montalbán and Yumare, west of Caracas, and damage was reported in the Venezuelan capital.
32 people have died and more than 700 have been injured following a series of powerful earthquakes. Authorities are continuing rescue and recovery operations in the affected regions.
