2. Lionel Messi has been honored with a new 85-foot (26-meter) statue in Cutral Co, Patagonia, Argentina, making it taller than the 70-foot (21-meter) Messi statue that was unveiled in Kolkata, India, in late 2025 and later dismantled due to safety concerns.
3. FIFA has suspended the All Nepal Football Association, or ANFA, with immediate effect over violations of FIFA statutes involving third-party interference in its governance. The suspension, effective from June 24, means Nepal’s national teams and clubs are barred from all FIFA and AFC competitions until further notice.
4. Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has named former Indian fast bowler Ashok Dinda as the Head of Vision 2028 & fast bowling coach. The CAB has also named Utpal Chatterjee as spin bowling coach under the Vision 2028 programme starting next month. Both Dinda and Chatterjee have played for India.
