1. Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history.

2. Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Education Jayant Chaudhary flagged off a contingent of 14 Indian skilled workers departing for Mauritius under the Government-to-Government Labour Mobility Framework established between India and Mauritius.

3. Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje led the Indian delegation at the 114th International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva, Switzerland. It underlines India’s commitment to inclusive growth, gender equality, and social dialogue.

4. Ministry of External Affairs Secretary Rudrendra Tandon leads Indian delegation at ASEAN Regional Forum meeting in Manila.

5. United States Ambassador to India Sergio Gor congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the country’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.

6. Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark a six day visit to France and Slovakia from 13th June, 2026. In this high level meet he will hold the bilateral meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, alongside participate in the G7 Summit and will also attend the Europe’s largest technology event VivaTech. With this visit he will try to strengthened the India’s strategic partnerships across Europe.

1. Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Pakistan for violating Afghanistan’s airspace and carrying out airstrikes that killed several civilians, including women and children, in the provinces of Kunar, Khost and Paktika.

2. Iran has launched a sweeping retaliatory military operation against American bases across West Asia, hours after US forces struck Iranian air defence infrastructure near the Strait of Hormuz.

3. NASA has announced names of three US astronauts and one Italian astronaut as the crew for its next Artemis III, a spacecraft docking demonstration mission scheduled for late next year that will test lunar landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin in orbit for the first time.

4. Former Sri Lankan Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena was sentenced to a total of 16 years of rigorous imprisonment after being found guilty on four corruption charges by the Colombo High Court.
