1. Tanya Chaudhary, a 22-year-old athlete from Uttar Pradesh, set a new national record in the women’s hammer throw with a throw of 68.35 metres at the Indian Athletics Series Final in New Delhi on 10 September 2026. She won the gold medal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and finished ahead of Anushka Yadav, who recorded 66.34 metres.
2. In the Junior Asia Cup Hockey, Indian Junior Men’s Team defeated Malaysia 3-1 in the first semi-final to book a place in the final at Moqi in China. Indian Skipper Anmol Ekka scored two goals while Sukhvinder scored one goal.
3. Alexander Zverev reached the US Open men’s final after defeating Karen Khachanov in the semifinal. He will face the winner of the semifinal match between American players Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
