1. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh yesterday formally inaugurated the 19th Governor’s Taekwondo Cup, Manipur 2026. It is is organised by the All Manipur Taekwondo Association at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Imphal. The championship which will continue till July 15, has drawn a total of 1,141 players representing 29 units, comprising 691 men and 450 women.
2. The Indian women’s compound team of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Prithika Pradeep and Chikitha Taniparthi clinched the silver medal at the Archery World Cup Stage 4 in Madrid, Spain. The Indian trio went down 228-232 to Colombia in the final.

5. The trophy of India’s oldest football tournament, the Durand Cup, was showcased in Shillong yesterday as part of the run up to the 135th edition of the Durand Cup 2026. The Indian Armed Forces, in collaboration with the Government of Meghalaya, hosted the trophy showcase and flag-off ceremony for the upcoming Indian Oil Durand Cup 2026 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.
India’s oldest football tournament will begin on July 31, with the final scheduled for August 23.
