2. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian women’s squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, with Smriti Mandhana named as vice-captain. The tournament will be hosted by England, beginning on 12th June, with the final scheduled at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 5th July.
3. A 21-member Indian squad will compete across five events at the World Athletics Relays 2026 scheduled to start in Gaborone, Botswana. The World Athletics Relays Gaborone 26, ends on May 3.
A total of six relay events – men’s, women’s and mixed 4x400m and 4x100m – will be contested in Gaborone, which marks the first-ever World Athletics Relays to be held in Africa.
