report reveals insightful statistics that showcase the meteoric rise of the number of Esports players as well as the brands that are investing in the burgeoning Esports sector of India.

some of the key findings of the report that demonstrate the rapid growth of the emerging Esports industry in India:

1. Esports players touched 1 million: The number of Esports players across all competitive level games in India increased from 600,000 in 2021 to 1 million in 2022, and it is expected to reach 2.5 million in 2023.

2. 10% rise in Esports teams: Esports teams in India grew by 10%, from 100,000 in 2021 to 110,000 in 2022, and they are estimated to reach 125,000 in 2023.

3. Impact of bans: The number of prominent Esports titles across mobile, PC, and console decreased from 13 to 10 due to bans, but it is estimated to increase to 15 in 2023.

4. Outcome on prize money: The prize money for Esports competitions in India decreased from INR 220 million in 2021 to INR 150 million in 2022, but it is expected to rise to INR 300 million in 2023.

5. A 50% rise in airtime: The airtime across all competitive level games in India grew by almost 50%, from 3,100 broadcast hours in 2021 to 4,500 broadcast hours in 2022, and it is estimated to rise to 6,000 broadcast hours in 2023. The number of peak concurrent viewers remained the same at 2,000, but it is expected to rise to 3,000 in 2023.

6. Growth in broadcasting platforms: Broadcasting platforms for Esports in India increased from 13 in 2021 to 14 in 2022.

7. Brands remained invested in Esports: The number of brands investing in Esports in India grew from 72 in 2021 to 80 in 2022, and it is estimated to reach 100 in 2023.

8. India will have 10 international teams by 2023: The number of international Esports teams in India grew from 6 in 2021 to 7 in 2022, and it is expected to become 10 in 2023.

9. One out of five Esports players were women: The percentage of female players rose from 18% in 2021 to 22% in 2022, and it is estimated to reach 28% in 2023.
