The Delhi and District Cricket Association is pleased to announce the installation of a statue in honor of the former Union Finance Minister, Late Shri Arun Jaitley. The six foot, tall bronze statue will be unveiled within the premises of the stadium on the 68th birthday, i.e. 28th December 2020, at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Feroz Shah Kotla Grounds at New Delhi at 12:00 p.m.
The unveiling ceremony will be celebrated in the presence of Sh. Amit Shah Ji (Hon’ble Home Minister), Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri Ji (Hon’ble Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs), Sh. Kiren Rijiju Ji (Hon’ble Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports) and Sh. Anurag Thakur Ji (Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance).
DDCA, the governing body of Delhi cricket association was founded in 1883 with an affiliation with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Currently, it is under the presidency of Mr. Rohan Jaitley, son of former Union Finance Minister.
