New York floods : Streets, subways snarled by downpour. Multiple New York City subway lines were shut and streets inundated Friday morning after torrential rain pelted the metropolitan area, prompting warnings about flooding in the city. The flash flooding was snarled traffic on roads and at airports. Officials on Friday urged residents in basement apartments to seek higher ground.

1. In response to US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s comments on the India-Canada row, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has urged the Ministry of External Affairs to initiate a probe into Ilhan Omar’s visit to Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in 2022.

5. Taking a jibe at the Canadian government amid the ongoing diplomatic standoff between the two nations, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the Canadian attitude towards terrorists, extremist people who openly advocate violence is very permissive.

1. 🇹🇼Taiwan, has recently unveiled its first domestically-made submarine, named the Haikun, in a move to bolster its defenses against the ever-present threat of a possible Chinese attack.

2. At least 55 killed, more than 50 injured in 2 suicide attacks in Balochistan & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces of 🇵🇰Pakistan. Blast ripped through a mosque in the Mastung district.
