2. 11 killed in Russian missile attacks on Ukraine. The missile strikes came a day after the US and Germany promised to send battle tanks to Ukraine.

3. Supporters of ex-Pakistani PM Imran Khan on Thursday gathered outside his home in Lahore to provide security cover. The development comes days after the caretaker government in Punjab withdrew Khan’s additional security which was provided to him following the assassination attempt on his life in November last year.

4. French Foreign Ministry said it will respect Burkina Faso’s ruling military junta’s request to withdraw its troops within a month. France has approximately 400 troops in the West African nation.

5. Moscow City Court has granted the Russian Justice Ministry’s request to “dissolve” the Moscow Helsinki Group (MHG), which was one of the few independent rights groups remaining in Russia.

6. Israel, Gaza fighters trade fire after 10 Palestinians killed in West Bank raid. Israel launched air strikes on Gaza Friday in response to militant rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave, as tensions rose following the deadliest army raid on the occupied West Bank in years.

7. US special forces kill senior Islamic State terrorist Al-Sudani in Somalia. Al-Sudani, who has been on the radar for U.S. intelligence officials for years, played a key role in helping to fund IS operations in Africa as well as the ISIS-K terrorist branch operating in Afghanistan.
