ISRO Gearing Up for Next Lunar Mission Chandrayaan-4_30.1

5. PM Modi will on Saturday dedicate the Sela tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh to the country, with the new route allowing faster deployment of weapons, soldiers and equipment to forward areas near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang sector. The Sela project consists of Tunnel 1, which is 1,003 metres long, and Tunnel 2, a 1,595-metre twin tube tunnel.

The activities during the Poshan Pakhwada will focus on the key themes, which include Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi (PBPB), a path-breaking ECCE programme to ensure that India has the world’s largest, universal, high-quality pre-school network, tradition, and local dietary practices focused on sensitization around nutrition and the health of pregnant women, and IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding Practices).

10. In a groundbreaking initiative, the state of Jharkhand has become the first in the country to launch the ‘Vidhwa Punarvivah Protsahan Yojana’ (Widow Remarriage Incentive Scheme). Under this scheme, women who choose to remarry after the death of their husbands will receive an incentive of Rs. 2 lakh from the government. The scheme was launched by Chief Minister Champai Soren.

* Conditions Applied : The woman should be of marriageable age. She should not be a government employee, pensioner, or income tax payer.

11. Recently Tamil Nadu government launched the ‘Neengal Nalama’ (Are you fine?) scheme, a beneficiary outreach programme aimed at reviewing the implementation of flagship schemes and addressing the grievances of the public. The initiative was kicked off by Minister of Rural Development I. Periyasamy with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and other ministers. Under the scheme people will be contacted by the Chief Minister.

12. The National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem or the NAMASTE Scheme, a joint initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, aims to eliminate manual engagement of sanitation workers in hazardous sewer and septic tank cleaning operations. Implemented by the NSKFDC for three years, the scheme prioritizes the safety and well-being of workers with a budget of 349.73 crores.

13. Odisha Bharatiya Janata Party has said it may field candidates in all the 147 assembly and 21 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state apparently after its pre-poll alliance and seat-sharing talks with the Biju Janata Dal in Delhi remained inconclusive.

14. PM Modi Thursday dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth more than ₹6,400 crore at the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ programme here during his first visit to the Kashmir valley after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

The projects included holistic agriculture development program worth about ₹5,000 crore and multiple projects related to the tourism sector worth more than ₹1,400 crore under ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘PRASHAD’ scheme including the project for ‘Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine’, Srinagar.

15. ISRO Gearing Up for Next Lunar Mission Chandrayaan-4_30.1
ISRO chief S Somnath informed at the National Space Science Symposium (NSSS 2024) that the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is preparing to launch the next lunar mission Chandrayaan-4. This mission will include five spacecraft modules.

The main objectives of the Chandrayaan-4 mission are:

#Safe and soft landing on the lunar surface.
#Lunar sample collection and containerization.
#Rising from the moon’s surface.
#Docking and undocking in lunar orbit.
#Transferring samples from one module to another.
#Return and re-entry to Earth with moon samples for scientific study.

1. The Indian Banks Association (IBA) has invited bank unions to sign wage revision settlement at Chennai on March 11, 2024. CH Venkatachalam, general secretary of All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA), announced this through a post on social media.

Tribal Affairs Ministry said, the PM-JANMAN, with a budget of around 24,000 crore rupees, focuses on eleven critical interventions through nine Ministries.
