3. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday visited the Bharat Biotech Limited, a Covid vaccine manufacturer in Hyderabad.

4. India has covered 92.8 per cent seeding of ration cards with Aadhaar numbers. The States and Union Territories have completed the Aadhaar seeding of about 21.91 Crore ration cards and around 71 Crore beneficiaries at the national level.

5. Assam-Mizoram border dispute: Both Assam and Mizoram claim land on the border between Assam’s Cachar and Mizoram’s Kolasib district. Both states accuse each other of encroachment. North east India will always be one, underlined Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga, a day after Assam advised its people not to travel to the neighbouring state.

10. On 28 July 21, the Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir was hit by a cloud burst. The IAF has deployed its helicopters for rescue and relief operations.

15. The Army now wants 20 new avalanche rescue radars on a fast-track basis from abroad to ensure it can quickly locate soldiers who get buried under snow during natural calamities in high-altitude areas along the borders with China and Pakistan.
