1. Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, yesterday administered oath to eight newly elected and re-elected Members of Rajya Sabha at the Parliament House in New Delhi.

4. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) received the UITP Achievement Award for Operational Excellence recently on 23 June 2026 in Brussels. UITP, or the International Association of Public Transport, presented the award to DMRC for its AI-powered integrated mobility platform, the Sarthi App.
5. Delhi government has approved an ambitious electric vehicle (EV) policy. As per the new policy, EV cars priced up to 30 lakh rupees have been exempted from registration fees and road taxes. The new policy also offers a 1 lakh rupees incentive for purchasing new EVs while scrapping old vehicles, and mandates that only electric two-wheelers can be registered starting April 2028.

8. Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has announced two major decisions aimed at boosting the Indian film industry. The decisions were taken at a high-level review meeting chaired by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi yesterday.
The meeting focused on measures to enhance film production, improve distribution networks and integrate emerging technologies into the Indian cinema ecosystem.

13. A team from Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India led by Deputy Secretary Ganesh Nagarajan yesterday undertook a detailed review of development projects being implemented in Churachandpur district under the Aspirational District Programme of NITI Aayog.
14. Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia has inaugurated, launched and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth around 350 crore rupees during his four-day visit to Guna district in Madhya Pradesh.

1. The Government has decided to withdraw the temporary regulatory measures governing the sale and distribution of Petrol and Diesel. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said that with effect from 1st July, 2026 the temporary measures will be lifted from Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel through retail outlets of Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies.
2. The Delhi High Court has refused to interfere with the selection of the Indian Dressage team for the upcoming Asian Games 2026, holding that the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) had adhered to its notified selection criteria and that courts cannot substitute the opinion of expert bodies in sports selection matters unless the decision-making process is shown to be arbitrary, capricious or perverse.
3. The Delhi High Court has stayed the discharge of a group of Women Short Service Commission (SSC) officers of the Indian Air Force (IAF), granting them interim relief in their legal challenge against the denial of Permanent Commission (PC).

5. Indian Army plans to operationalise its first Integrated Battle Groups by 1 July 2026. The first formations will be raised from the Panagarh-based XVII Corps, which is also known as the Mountain Strike Corps and is oriented towards the China front.
Integrated Battle Groups: Basic Structure
An Integrated Battle Group, or IBG, is a brigade-sized combat formation designed as a self-contained unit. Each IBG is planned to have more than 5,000 troops and 12 to 13 units, including infantry battalions, artillery regiments, engineers, signals, and a field hospital. Under the current plan, four IBGs and one fire support group will be created under the XVII Mountain Strike Corps.
