1. Unified Interface (UPI) is targeted to become operational in Seychelles by the end of 2026. India and Seychelles signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for UPI implementation during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to Seychelles, which concluded on 29 June 2026.
2. India has strongly condemned Pakistan’s air-strikes in residential areas of Afghanistan that killed 36 civilians, including women and children, and injured 163 others. In a statement, the External Affairs Ministry said that this blatant act of aggression by Pakistan is an assault on Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a direct threat to regional peace and stability.
3. The Indian Pavilion has marked the largest ever participation at North America’s Summer Fancy Food Show 2026. The Pavilion was jointly inaugurated by Consul General of India in New York Binaya Srikanta Pradhan and internationally acclaimed chef Vikas Khanna.
4. Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal yesterday met the Development Minister of Greece, Takis Theodorikakos, in Greece. They discussed strengthening the India-Greece economic partnership through greater trade, investment, industrial cooperation, and resilient supply chains.
5. India and Saudi Arabia have taken another step towards strengthening their strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in water resources during the Saudi Water Week in Jeddah.
6. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri today dismissed reports claiming that India and Pakistan held a Track-2 dialogue on the sidelines of a Security Conference held in Sri Lanka.

1. The United States and Iran have agreed to pause their exchange of military strikes and allow commercial shipping to resume through the Strait of Hormuz, as President Donald Trump announced a fresh round of talks between the two sides in Qatar on Tuesday.
2. Direct passenger flights between the UAE and Iran have resumed after a suspension of several months following the regional conflict that began on February 28, signalling the gradual restoration of air links between the two countries.
3. Dubai government employees began benefiting yesterday from flexible working arrangements as the 2026 edition of the “Our Flexible Summer” initiative comes into effect across public sector entities.
Launched by the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, the initiative runs from June 29 to 10 September 2026, and introduces two flexible working models designed to help government entities balance employee needs with operational requirements while maintaining service continuity.
