1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people of the country and abroad in the Mann Ki Baat programme on Akashvani at 11 AM today. It will be the 133rd episode of the monthly radio programme.

2. India’s first privately built orbital rocket moved yet another step closer to its historic mission with Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy flagging off Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1 flight hardware to Sriharikota, where the company is hopeful of launching the rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in June this year.

3. The Bharatiya Janata Party organized a women’s protest march and public meeting in Ranchi over the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, with a large number of women participating. 7. The Government has reconstituted the NITI Aayog. Economist Ashok Kumar Lahiri has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the Aayog. He will replace the current Vice Chairman, Suman K Bery.

8. The Government has taken several steps to ensure uninterrupted availability of petroleum products and LPG across the country. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has said that the supply of LPG to domestic households has been prioritized and no dry-outs have been reported at any LPG distributorship.

9. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued detailed heatwave guidance and advisories in the wake of rising temperatures and above-normal conditions across the country. It has informed that heatwave conditions will persist over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Mahe and central India over the next seven days.

10. The CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 is expected to be released in May 2026, most likely in the second or third week of May. However, the board has not officially confirmed the exact date and time yet.

1. The Supreme Court recently directed all States and Territories to immediately prepare action plans for implementing minimum standards for Intensive Care Units, and fixed a three-week deadline to complete a national blueprint based on a common framework.

The Court directed the Union Health Ministry to circulate this document to all States and Union Territories as an advisory and upload it on its website.

2. The Defence Research and Development Organisation marked a significant milestone at Ahilyanagar in Maharashtra with the ceremonial flag off of its Advanced Armoured Platform.The event was presided over by DRDO Chairman, Samir V Kamat, who formally launched the Vikram VT-21 series.

6. The names of 33,000 Indian Army soldiers who died during the First World War but were missing from the Basra Memorial in Iraq have now been commemorated through new digital panels. The initiative by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) aims to correct a long-standing historical omission and restore recognition to Indian soldiers who served and died in the Mesopotamia Campaign.
