1. PM Modi will visit Pathanamthitta district in Kerala today to participate in the Loksabha election campaign of NDA candidate Anil Antony. The Prime Minister will also attend the public meeting at the District Stadium in Pathanamthitta.

4. Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani launched a skill development, leadership, entrepreneurship promotion and education programme for the Sikh community in Delhi. This programme has been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan, PM VIKAS Scheme, through the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
5. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has sanctioned 972.80 crore rupees for widening roads in Rajasthan.
6. Manipur, the class 10th examination to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur will begin tomorrow. The examination will continue till the 8th of next month and the board has taken up all measures to conduct the examination in a free and fair manner.
7. Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated the State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) constructed at the foothill of Nongmaiching under Imphal East District. The Institute was constructed under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism Government of India.
8. Author Sudha Murty on Thursday took oath as a member of Rajya Sabha. Infosys founder and Sudha Murty’s husband Narayana Murthy was present during her oath-taking ceremony in the chamber of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
9. Two candidates from Jharkhand, Dr. Pradeep Verma from BJP and Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed from Grand Alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress and RJD were elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha without contesting any elections.
10. In Jammu and Kashmir the J&K Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) today issued an avalanche warning in the higher reaches of eight districts of the Union Territory during the next 24 hours. Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban districts in Jammu division & Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Baramulla in Kashmir Valley.
11. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has released a compensation amount of 87.95 crore rupees to farmers of 12 districts that suffered cotton crop damage due to floods in 2023.

In Ladakh, in a proactive move to enhance democratic participation, Ladakh’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner Kargil has established a District Level SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) Core Committee. Headed by District Election Officer Shrikant Suse, the Committee is gearing up to ramp up voter awareness efforts ahead of the much-anticipated Lok Sabha Elections in 2024.
13. Mysuru Royal Scion Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will be making his foray into electoral politics, with the BJP fielding him as its candidate from the Mysore Lok Sabha segment, replacing sitting MP Pratap Simha.
14. The panel on ‘One nation-One election’ recommended a two-step approach to lead to the simultaneous elections. As the first step, simultaneous elections will be held for the Lok Sabha and the State Legislative Assemblies.
In the second step, elections to the Municipalities and the Panchayats will be held within 100 days of holding elections to the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. The committee also recommended that there should be a single electoral roll and Electoral Photo Identity Cards for use in elections to all the three tiers of government.

1. Oil companies have cut petrol and diesel prices by ₹2, effective from 6 a.m. on March 15, said Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

1. The integrated tri-services exercise Bharat Shakti displayed the indigenous defence capability of the armed forces along with the integration and jointness that are being achieved in various aspects like communications, training, inter-operability and logistics by the three defence forces.
2. The Indian Army is also raising its new DHRUV attack helicopter squadron in Jodhpur on March 15, which will significantly enhance its combat capabilities in the Western desert sector. The DHRUV MK-III UT (Utility) is designed for Search & Rescue, Troop Transportation, Internal Cargo, Recce/ Casualty Evacuation etc. It has proved its performance in high-altitude regions like Siachen Glacier and Ladakh.
3. India’s Cabinet Committee on Security has given the go-ahead for a fifth-generation fighter development project under the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) initiative. The estimated cost of this state-of-the-art project looms around $1.8 billion.
