1. Prime Minister Modi yesterday held a telephonic conversation with US Donald Trump. In a social media post, PM Modi said, he received a call from President Trump and they had a useful exchange of views on the situation in West Asia.

2. The 4th Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between India and Iceland were held yesterday in Reykjavik. During the consultation, both sides reviewed the status of cooperation in all fields, including political, trade and investment; implementation of India-EFTA-TEPA; geothermal energy; fisheries; capacity building; culture; and people-to-people ties.

3. Air India and Air India Express will jointly operate 24 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia.

4. The Indian Embassy in Doha informed that Qatar Airways operated 25 flights to India between the 20th and 22nd of this month, carrying around 7,750 Indian nationals.

5. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor has announced the upcoming visit of top defence official Elbridge Colby to India. He stated in a post on social media that he is looking forward to welcoming the Under Secretary of War for Policy, Elbridge Colby, to India.

6. The Embassy of India, Kathmandu, celebrated the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Day with the participation of hundreds of students from Nepal who were supported by the scholarship. The prestigious Golden Jubilee Scholarship was established in 2002 to commemorate 50 years of India-Nepal economic cooperation. Over the years, the number of scholarship recipients has increased to 200 annually.

1. China is deep into building the Pinglu Canal, an 83-mile shipping route meant to connect inland rivers in the southwest to international sea lanes. The goal is simple to say and hard to build: let big cargo vessels move from the interior to the coast without taking a long detour.

5. Elon Musk has announced an ambitious semiconductor initiative named тАЬTerafabтАЭ in Austin, Texas, aimed at scaling up artificial intelligence chip production. The project, involving Tesla, SpaceX and xAI, seeks to address the growing demand for advanced chips required for autonomous driving, robotics and AI systems.
