1. PM Modi and the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides reiterated their commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross border terrorism. Both the leader held a bilateral meeting in New Delhi at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
2. The Quad Foreign Ministers’ meeting will be held in New Delhi on 26th of this month. At the invitation of External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Foreign Minister of Australia Penny Wong, Foreign Minister of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi and Secretary of State of the United States Marco Rubio are arriving in New Delhi.
3. India has delivered twenty tons of critical dry materials for BCG, Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccines to Kabul, to augment Afghanistan’s Child Immunisation Programme.
4. India has postponed the Fourth India-Africa Forum Summit which was schedule to be held in the last week of the May 2026 due to the growing Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa. This decision came at that time when the World Health Organization declared the situation in Congo and Uganda as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).
5. India has fast-tracked ₹2,600 crore Chenab River projects after freezing the Indus Waters Treaty framework with Pakistan. The move strengthens hydropower generation, water utilisation, and strategic infrastructure while reshaping South Asia’s water and energy dynamics.
6. India has officially assumed the chairmanship of the Regional Cooperative Agreement (RCA) for the year 2026 under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This announcement came at the 48th Meeting of National Representatives (NRM) in Navi Mumbai and it brings together the delegates from Asia-Pacific and Africa.
7. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met Secretary General of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Nurlan Yermekbayev in New Delhi. They discussed Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s initiatives and activities as well as global and regional issues.
8. India’s Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission has been honoured with the 2026 Goddard Astronautics Award by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). India’s Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Vinay Kwatra, accepted the award on behalf of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at the AIAA ASCEND 2026 Conference.

1. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Iran imposing tolls for transit in the Strait of Hormuz is simply unacceptable and cannot happen. If this were to occur in the Strait of Hormuz, then it would also happen in five other places around the world.
2. Pakistan has decided to issue a special Rs 75 commemorative coin to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations with China. It was written by the Yang Shuang-zi and translated by Lin King and this novel has made the first work translated from Mandarin Chinese to win the prestigious award.

5. Afghanistan reports 250 deaths since March due to natural disasters across the country.
6. Rains continues to lash Sri Lanka as the south-west monsoon gradually established over the island, prompting warnings of intensified rainfall, strong winds, flooding and landslides across several regions.
7. US President Donald Trump said his administration will send an additional 5,000 troops to Poland.
According to US media reports, currently, there are around 80,000 US troops based in Europe, among them roughly 10,000 are in Poland. The Pentagon announced earlier that roughly 5,000 US troops would be withdrawn from Germany over the next six to 12 months.
