1. The fragile ceasefire in West Asia is under severe strain after a wave of military escalations overnight. The US military confirmed its naval forces came under Iranian missile, drone and fast-boat attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, responding by eliminating inbound threats.

2. United States government began releasing classified and previously classified records on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) in 2026. The disclosures involved the White House, the Director of National Intelligence, the Energy Department, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Pentagon.

Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena is the official term used by the United States government for objects or events in the sky, in space, or under water that remain unexplained after analysis. The term replaced the earlier public usage of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in many official documents and programmes.

3. Saudi Arabia has announced strict new penalties for residents and visitors who attempt to perform Hajj without an official permit, as authorities intensify efforts to control overcrowding and improve pilgrim safety during Hajj 1447 AH.
