1. Prime Minister Modi will be on a six-day visit to Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand from Monday. At the invitation of Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, Prime Minister Modi will undertake a state visit to Indonesia from the 6th to the 8th of this month.
2. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has hailed India as a key economic partner ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Australia from July 8 to 10. In a statement, the Australian Prime Minister’s Office said, as the world’s fourth-largest and fastest-growing economy, India is a critical economic partner for Australia.
3. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will be on an official visit to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman from today till 10th of this month. During the visit to these countries, Dr Jaishankar will be meeting with his counterparts and the leadership.

1. PM Modi has congratulated Keiko Fujimori on her victory in the Peruvian Presidential elections.
2. Keiko Fujimori was officially declared the winner of Peru’s 2026 presidential election after a closely contested runoff. She secured 50.135% of the vote, narrowly defeating Roberto Sánchez, who received 49.865%, a margin of about 50,000 votes out of roughly 18 million cast.
3. In Iran, preparations are underway for the six-day state funeral of the former Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, which began in Tehran. The funeral procession will continue over the next few days before concluding with his burial in the holy city of Mashhad on 9th of this month. Public mourning will continue for 40 days thereafter.
