1. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, in a significant diplomatic encounter, expressed delight at meeting the United States Trade Representative (USTR) Ambassador Katherine Tai in Delhi on Friday.

2. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday spoke with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller informed on Thursday, adding that the two leaders discussed the recent attacks on merchant ships by the Yemen-backed Houthi groups in the Red Sea.

3. NATION FIRST, BUSINESS LATER’: EASEMYTRIP REAFFIRMS STAND TO SUSPEND TRAVEL BOOKINGS TO MALDIVES : Amid the row over the distasteful remarks by Maldivian ministers and government officials against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent visit to Lakshadweep, Indian travel company EaseMyTrip on Thursday reiterated its stand to suspend all bookings to the island nation from January 8.In an official release titled ‘Nation First, Business Later’.

4. Mauritius government has approved a request by Hindu socio-cultural organisations to grant a two-hour break for officials on 22 January 2024. This decision allows devotees across the country to actively participate in prayers organised to mark the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in India.

1. UK PARLIAMENTARIANS EXTEND SUPPORT FOR BALOCH PROTESTERS IN A MOTION : Nine Ministers of Parliament (MP) across various parties from the UK Parliament have expressed support for a motion addressing the human rights situation in Baluchistan.
