1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp’ Abhiyan today through video conferencing. The launch will mark the beginning of a 100-week nationwide Jan Bhagidari campaign against substance abuse. Youth across the country from over 10 thousand locations will participate in the programme.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Greenfield Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh yesterday. Built under the Public-Private Partnership mode at a cost of over 5,640 crore rupees, the airport has the capacity to handle six million passengers annually.
3. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma yesterday launched the first disbursement of Orunodoi 3.0 for the financial year 2026-27, facilitating the transfer of monthly financial assistance to more than 37 lakh women beneficiaries across the state through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
4. The online registration portal for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana has opened for registration from yesterday. So far, in the last 12 hours more than 33 thousand registrations have been done and one thousand 940 applications have been finally submitted. Under the scheme, eligible women will receive financial assistance of 2 thousand five hundred rupees every month.

According to the Office of Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi, about one crore forty-five lakh forms have been distributed as part of Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Delhi.
7. The Arunachal Pradesh Government has rolled out the e-Bhavishya Pension Sanction and Tracking System, a paperless platform to streamline pension processing and ensure timely retirement benefits for government employees.
8. Indian Railways has approved the extension of daily Ludhiana-Jakhal Passenger Train up to Jind to strengthen regional rail connectivity. The Railways Ministry said that the decision will provide direct rail connectivity between Ludhiana and Jind, benefiting daily commuters, students, office-goers, traders and passengers travelling between Punjab and Haryana.
9. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said, procedure for application for the citizenship will be simplified in future. He distributed citizenship certificate under the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 CAA in a programme at the New Town Convention Centre in Kolkata.
10. Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal yesterday inspected the flats which are being constructed under the Karjivi Awas Yojana. The flats are being developed by the Delhi Development Authority in Pocket-11 of Narela, Delhi.

1. The Agartala Sub-Zonal Office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached bank deposits worth approximately 1.12 crore rupees under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with an alleged money laundering case.
2. In a major crackdown against organised smuggling networks, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized foreign-origin gold, narcotic drugs, prohibited wildlife products, e-cigarettes, and other contraband. The Ministry of Finance informed that the operations led to the arrest of 20 persons, including five foreign nationals.

1. In Keralam, incessant heavy rain has caused widespread havoc, triggering landslides and severe waterlogging across the state. The India Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert for nine districts and an Orange Alert for five districts. Six rain-related deaths have been reported today from Kottayam, Idukki, and Malappuram districts.
2. Continuous rainfall across Maharashtra has led to a sharp rise in the water levels of rivers, streams, and lakes, with water entering homes in several low-lying areas due to flooding.

1. DSC A24, the fifth ship of five Diving Support Craft (DSC) Project was launched at Titagarh, Kolkata. The Ministry of Defence said that these ships offer superior stability, enhanced deck area, and improved sea-keeping characteristics, which make them suitable for undertaking Diving operations. It added that the ship has been designed and built in accordance with the Naval Rules and Regulations of the Indian Register of Shipping.
2. The Indian Navy expanded its coastal defence fleet on 29 July with the launch of Machilipatnam, the seventh Mahe-class anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft, at Cochin Shipyard.
3. India’s Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh has confirmed that New Delhi will not pursue Russia’s Su-57 stealth fighter. He stated that India is not considering new Sukhoi variants and will instead modernise its Su-30MKI fleet.Singh described the licence-built Su-30MKI as a proven backbone of the Indian Air Force.
