1. US President Donald Trump has threatened to intensify military action against Iran, warning that American strikes will continue until Tehran halts attacks on shipping and returns to negotiations.
2. In Peru, 13 people were killed after a tourist plane crashed into a field near the city of Nazca.
3. In Ukraine, at least nine people were killed and 22 others injured after Russia launched a massive overnight barrage of ballistic missiles and drones on the capital, Kyiv.
4. Iran has warned that it is ready to strike key Israeli infrastructure and American energy facilities across the West Asia if it comes under attack.
5. Renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja, who captivated the world with his record-breaking ascent of all 14 of the planet’s 8,000-metre peaks in just over six months, died in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan occupied territory of Gilgit-Baltistan. He was 43.
Purja was among a 10-member expedition team attempting to summit Broad Peak when an avalanche struck on last Thursday.
