1. The Vice President Shri C P Radhakrishnan, will preside over the MSME Day 2026-Udyami Bharat event scheduled to be held in New Delhi this Saturday. Celebrated annually on 27th June, MSME Day provides an opportunity to recognise the pivotal role played by MSME in driving economic growth, innovation and inclusive development across the country.

5. Ministry of Education has invited online applications and nominations for the National Teachers Awards 2026. Applications are now open and nominations can be submitted through the National Awards Portal till 10th of next month. The National Teachers Awards are conferred annually to honour teachers who have demonstrated excellence, innovation and commitment in the field of school education.
6. The Government of India notified an interim list of 318 permissible works under the new rural employment framework. The framework will roll out on 1 July 2026 under the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025, which replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
7. The Government has hiked the fees for application of passports, with a 36-page fresh passport or reissue of passport now costing 2,500 rupees. The Passports (Amendment) Rules, 2026 will come into force with effect from 1st of July. In case of an ordinary passport in lieu of lost or damaged passport containing 36 pages, a sum of five thousand rupees will be charged.

11. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has notified amendments to the Drugs Rules, 1945, to expand the ambit of Schedule H2 and bring additional categories of drugs under the QR Code-based track and trace framework.
The Ministry said that under the amended provisions, all vaccines, antimicrobials, narcotic and psychotropic drugs are covered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. It said that all anti-cancer drugs have been included under Schedule H2 of the Drugs Rules, 1945.
12. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday said the installation and modernisation of all 33 spillway gates at the Tungabhadra reservoir would provide a lasting solution to water issues affecting lakhs of farmers and migrant families in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Participating in the inauguration of the new gates along with Union jal shakti minister C.R. Patil, Karnataka Chief Ministers D.K. Shivakumar of Karnataka and N. 1. The Central Bureau of Investigation launched Operation Chakra-VI on 25 June 2026 against digital arrest fraud networks in India. The operation covered more than 80 locations across 16 states and involved 60 special teams.

In a major relief to industrial and commercial LPG consumers, Government has removed all sectoral restrictions on the supply of Non-Domestic Packed LPG and restored supplies to the levels prevailing prior to the West Asia crisis. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said in a statement that the supply of bulk LPG, which had been suspended at the onset of the crisis.

Loss of lives in Kolkata warehouse roof collapse: In Kolkata, the death toll in the Taratala mishap has risen to nine. A total of 29 persons were brought to the hospital following the incident. Twenty people are getting treatment at hospital.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari informed in the state assembly that those perpetrators for the incident would be brought to justice. PM Modi has also announced an ex-gratia payment of 2 lakh rupees to the next of kin of each deceased, and fifty thousand rupees each to the injured.

Ram Charan’s Peddi has now entered the final phase of its theatrical run, and the worldwide numbers have made it clear where the film is likely to finish. At the Indian box office, Peddi collected Rs 80 lakh on its third Tuesday, taking its 20-day total to Rs 235.9 crore net.
The India gross now stands at Rs 278.36 crore. In overseas markets, the film has collected Rs 52.9 crore gross so far. With this, the worldwide gross of Peddi stands at Rs 331.26 crore after 20 days.
