1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially became India’s longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister on 10 June 2026, by completing 4,399 consecutive days in office. He surpassed the previous record of 4,398 days held by the country’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

2. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra, which is scheduled to begin from 3rd of July.

3. The Manipur Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Jal Shakti in New Delhi for the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0.

4. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi said that country’s renewable energy journey has emerged as one of the most remarkable success stories in the world.

5. The Government has approved 22 new applicants under the third round of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles. The Ministry of Textiles said, a total of 96 companies have been selected under Round-3 of the scheme, with a committed investment of more than 12 thousand 822 crore rupees and a projected turnover exceeding 58 thousand crore rupees.

6. In Tripura, the Sub-Divisional Forest Department in Khowai district has achieved a major success in its ongoing crackdown on illegal logging and timber smuggling. The department conducted a series of raids across Khowai subdivision over the past two days, seizing around 220 cubic feet of illegally felled timber and four vehicles used for transportation.

7. India’s heaviest rocket, the Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM3), which powered the historic Chandrayaan-3 Moon landing mission, is set to enter a new phase as the government initiates the process of transferring the rocket’s technology and operations to the private sector.

8. As part of its nationwide campaign commemorating 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre, the Bharatiya Janata Party organised special prayers in temples across all 403 Assembly constituencies of Uttar Pradesh.

9. The Centre has assured adequate availability of urea in Punjab for the Kharif 2026 season, stating that there is no shortage of the fertilizer in the state.
According to official sources, continuous monitoring is being maintained to ensure availability of adequate fertilizer stocks in the state.

10. The inCentre approved a ₹1,359-crore project on 10 June 2026 for the four-laning of the Nagaur-Bikaner stretch of National Highway-62 in Rajasthan. The project will be executed under the Build-Operate-Transfer model, which is a public-private partnership framework used in highway development.

11. Kerala Cabinet approved the Priyadarshini scheme on 10 June 2026 for free travel for women on Kerala State Road Transport Corporation ordinary services. The scheme will begin on 15 June 2026 across Kerala and will cover women of all ages and income levels, along with transgender persons.

12. The Uttar Pradesh government has launched Project Ganga to provide high-speed internet connectivity to 20 lakh rural families, train 8,000 digital entrepreneurs, and create over one lakh jobs. The initiative aims to strengthen digital education, telemedicine, e-governance, and rural entrepreneurship.

13. The Indian Meteorological Department said that wet spell is likely over north west India till the 13th of this month under the influence of western disturbance. It has forecast isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over northwest and north east India during the next five to seven days.

1. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has refuted certain media reports claiming that Nepal has imposed a ban or suspension on the import of mangoes from India. It said that these reports are factually incorrect and misleading. The Ministry said that while Nepal has recently revised certain import conditions including the requirement for Hot Water Treatment.

2. West Bengal Congress president Subhankar Sarkar said on Wednesday (June 10, 2026) that anyone who wants to see Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi become the country’s Prime Minister could join the party.

3. In another jolt to the Trinamool Congress, Member of Parliament Sushmita Dev resigned from the Rajya Sabha and the party on Wednesday (June 10, 2026).

4. A public interest litigation petition has been filed in the Madras High Court challenging Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar’s decision to accept the resignation of three MLAs pending a request to initiate disqualification proceedings against them.

Desiya Makkal Sakthi Katchi has filed the PIL petition urging the court to quash a gazette notification issued on May 25, 2026 accepting the resignations of Maragatham Kumaravel, S. Jayakumar and P. Sathyabama.

5. Madhya Pradesh withdrew the two-child norm for eligibility in government jobs and for serving employees in June 2026. The state government ordered the General Administration Department to remove the draft provision from the proposed civil services rules.

1. The Indian Army is preparing for what could become its largest artillery modernisation programme in decades, with plans to seek approval for the procurement of more than 300 additional K9 Vajra self-propelled howitzers in a deal estimated to be valued at around Rs 23,000 crore.

2. The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Ministry of Defence Eyes to Field 10 S-400 and 5 Project Kusha Sqns under “Sudarshan Chakra” Long Range Air Defence Vision.

The country has already inducted four squadrons of the Russian-made S-400 Triumf system, with the fifth and final regiment from the original 2018 contract expected soon.

3. The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared
procurement of five additional S-400 regiments in March 2026. This move will eventually double the IAF’s S-400 inventory to ten regiments.

4. The indigenous Zorawar light tank is anticipated to join the Indian Army’s arsenal between 2028 and 2029, following the resolution of technical adjustments identified during early testing.

5. The Defence Ministry signed a contract worth 449 crore rupees for the procurement of 20 Enhanced Capability Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Jammers for the Indian Navy, with a minimum indigenous content of 75 per cent.

6. Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir during take-off yesterday, reportedly due to a technical fault. According to Pakistani media reports citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), all personnel on board were killed in the crash.

1. The Union government approved 22 new applicants under the third round of the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Textiles on 10 June 2026. The approved applicants are linked to an investment commitment of ₹2,339.14 crore and a projected turnover of ₹15,561.34 crore from notified textile products. The 22 newly approved applicants are expected to create 36,217 jobs across the textile value chain.

2. The Union Cabinet approved Phase 2A of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project on 10 June 2026. The project covers a 6.032-kilometre extension from Koteshwar Road to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The estimated cost is ₹2,169.04 crore, including interest during construction.
