The campaign, launched by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, aims to promote balanced fertiliser application, conserve soil fertility and encourage sustainable farming practices.

15. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said India should aim to increase its marine product exports from the current level of 8 billion US dollars to 30 billion US dollars over the next five years.

7. The Supreme Court on Friday (June 5, 2026) dismissed the bail application of Haryana-based travel blogger Jyoti Malhotra, accused of sharing sensitive information with Pakistan, observing that the allegations levelled against her were “very serious”.

2. In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and police recovered a large quantity of narcotics from the Raghna border area under Dharmanagar Police Station in Tripura on Saturday. According to police headquarters, 9,427 Yaba tablets were found abandoned near the border fencing.
