1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his vision is to ensure presence of at least one product, grown by Indian farmers, in every kitchen of the world. He was addressing a public meeting at Bhagalpur after releasing the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to nine crore 80 lakh farmers.

8. The Budget Session of the Andhra Pradesh legislature, which started on Monday with the Governor’s Address, will continue till March 19. The YSR Congress boycotted the proceedings on the first day.

1. The Madras high court on Monday dismissed a petition seeking direction to authorities concerned from granting permission to conduct Mahasivaratri celebrations at Isha Foundation in Coimbatore.

2. The Supreme Court allowed the clubbing of FIRs registered against YouTuber Savukku Shankar over his online interview. The Court also cautioned Shankar to abide by the previous directions of not making statements against the court proceedings.

3. A local court in Kerala remanded Bharatiya Janata Party leader PC George in judicial custody on Monday in a hate speech case after sending him to the police custody until 6 pm the same day.

4. The Bengal government has revoked the suspensions of the junior doctors of Midnapore Medical College and Hospital who had been accused of negligence in C-section surgeries that had led to the death of a new mother and landed four others in the ICU in January.

Seven junior doctors had been benched following the death of 30-year-old Mamoni Ruidas.

Telangana tunnel rescue op in full swing amid fading hope

Despite relentless efforts by the Indian Army, Navy, NDRF, and other agencies, no breakthrough has been achieved so far in the rescue operations as the teams had to navigate through thick muck, tangled iron rods, and cement blocks to reach the accident spot in the tunnel to extricate the persons who have remained trapped for over two days inside the tunnel after a section of it collapsed in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal project in Telangana’s Nagarkurnool district on Saturday morning.

1. India is set to promote the Intermediate Trainer-36 (IJT-36) Yashas armed variant for international buyers, particularly targeting countries seeking a cost-effective combat trainer for low-intensity operations.

2. China has constructed a Large Phased Array Radar (LPAR) system in Yunnan Province, near its border with Myanmar. This advanced radar system is reported to have a detection range exceeding 5,000Km, allowing it to monitor missile activities not only in the Indian Ocean region but also deep into Indian territory, raising significant security concerns for India.

3. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has called for new research in the defense sector using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Mr Singh was speaking at the 16th Foundation Day of IIT Mandi in Himachal Pradesh as the chief guest.
