Nitin Gadkari has emphasised on fixing driving hours for the drivers

2. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has emphasised on fixing driving hours for the drivers of commercial vehicles, similar to pilots as it will reduce fatigue-induced road accidents.

3. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended various tax returns filing deadlines till December 31 this year but it will continue to levy interest on delayed payments made after July 31, the original due date. So, taxpayers have to bear the interest payment liability of 1 per cent per month on the outstanding tax for those who filed a return after July 31.

16. Notification allowing women in NDA by May 2022, : Decision to induct women in the armed forces through the National Defence Academy (NDA), the Defence Ministry has told Supreme Court that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will notify the entrance exam for this in May 2022.

17. The National Defence Academy (NDA) will be ready to welcome its first-ever batch of women cadets in January 2023 after they sit for the entrance exam in May next year.

19. Indian, Indonesian navies take part in maritime exercise
Indian Naval ships Shivalik and Kadmatt arrived at Jakarta, Indonesia on September 18 to participate in the third edition of bilateral exercise ‘Samudra Shakti’ with the Indonesian Navy. The maritime exercise is scheduled from 20-22 September.

20. Indian army’s official career website is going to publish the JAG 28 Notification from 29 Sep 2021 onward, the last date to apply for the JAG 28 is 28th October 2021. JAG 28th course JAG entry 2022 (Judge Advocate General Branch) will commence in April 2022 at OTA Chennai. It is a special entry for male and female law graduates to join the JAG branch of the Indian Army. Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female LAW GRADUATES for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Branch.

21. Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried eligible men & women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for course commencing Jun 2022 onwards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Online Registration will be conducted till 5th October 2021 at joinindiannavy.gov.in
