The initiative was taken and executed by a group of NGOs namely Rotaract Club of Mumbai Downtown, Giants Group of Chowpatty, Metro Motors Auto Hangar, I Love Mumbai, Change is Us, Seafins, Marathi Mandal of K.C College, Pinkathon Girgaum, and Millennium Fellowship. All these volunteer based organizations came together with the single aim of cleaning the beach after the Ganpati Visarjan rituals. The event was supported by M.C.G.M.

Abiding by all covid protocols, the NGOs conducted the activity for over 2 hours in the evening post a rainy day. The NGOs consciously chose Metro Motors Auto Hangar as their partner for the initiative who displayed their Mercedes electric car at the event. Made completely out of plastic, the displayed car was an effort at promoting sustainable living.
