600 Taliban have been killed in Panjshir as fighting continued in the northeastern province

1. Pakistan Navy Inducts New Spy Plane That Can ‘Track & Hunt Down’ Indian Submarines

2. The 28th edition of the three-day Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) in the South China Sea concluded on 04 Sep (Saturday). SIMBEX is the Indian Navy’s longest uninterrupted bilateral maritime exercise with any foreign navy.

1. Afghanistan, news agency reports quoting sources have said that about 600 Taliban have been killed in Panjshir as fighting continued in the northeastern province. Afghan resistance forces said, more than 1,000 Taliban have been captured or surrendered themselves.

2. Panjshir is the stronghold of the National Resistance Front, led by Ahmad Massoud, the son of late ex-Afghan commander Ahmad Shah Massoud, and ex-Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who had declared himself caretaker president.

3. The Taliban, on the other hand, postponed the announcement of their government formation for next week.

4. Dozens of women took to the streets of the Afghan capital, Kabul to demand their right to work, a role in any future government, and a seat at the table in discussions with the Taliban.

5. Pakistan ISI chief Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed reached Kabul for a discussion on the new government in Afghanistan.

6. United Nations has convened an international conference in Geneva on 13th September for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. UN Secretary-General Antonio Gueterres said.

7. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that Iran is ready to hold talks with world powers to revive its 2015 nuclear accord but not under Western pressure.

8. The Ethiopian military claims it has killed more than 5,600 members of the Tigray rebel forces fighting in the north of the country. A bloody conflict between government forces and rebels in Tigray region has been raging since November last year.

10. Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi is calling for elections in Afghanistan to determine the future of the country, where he hopes peace will return after Western troops have left and the Taliban have seized control

11. A suicide bomber of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan blew himself up in the country’s restive Balochistan province on 05 Sep( Sunday), killing at least four security personnel and injuring 20 people.
