Rajiv Gandhi (20 August 1944 – 21 May 1991)
Shri. Rajiv Gandhi served as the 6th Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989. He took office after the 1984 assassination of his mother, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, to become the youngest Indian PM at the age of 40.
He is remembered as the Prime Minister that provided the basis for telecommunications and Information Technology in India.
