1. India’s double Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the 2026 Diamond League final, which will be held in Brussels next month.
2. Khelo India Dialogue programmes were held in various locations across Mizoram to encourage students and young athletes to pursue sports and improve their performance in line with changing times. The Indian grandmaster made an incredible comeback from six points down against American Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana and won 15-13 on the decisive day at the Saint Louis Chess Club. This has enabled him to claim his first Grand Chess Tour title and USD 200,000 as prize money. It is one more landmark event for Praggnanandhaa who has already stunned everyone with his Norway Chess victory.
