1. AUSTRALIA TOUR OF INDIA, 2023

India is set to clash with Australia in the inaugural T20I of a five-game series at Dr Y. S. Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

2. INDIAN WOMEN’S TEST CRICKET : The Indian team is scheduled to play two Tests at home — first against England from December 14 at Navi Mumbai followed by a match against Australia beginning December 21 in Mumbai. Indian women’s team captain is Harmanpreet Kaur.

3. India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma is unlikely to play T20 Internationals anymore and had discussed his future in the shortest format before the start of the 50-over World Cup, according to sources in the BCCI.

4. Star Indian shuttlers Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth suffered contrasting losses in their respective opening round matches, to bow out of the China Masters badminton tournament — the season’s last BWF Super 750 event — in Shenzhen on Wednesday.

5. India did not participate in voting on a UN General Assembly resolution on building a peaceful and better world through sport and recognising the role of sports in preventing and countering terrorism and violent extremism as well as promoting human rights.

193 UN member states, 120 voted in the UNGA on the resolution, which received 118 votes in favour and none against, with Russia and Syria abstaining. India was among the 73 nations that were absent from voting on the resolution.

6. Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad feels Sarfaraz Ahmed was better suited to lead the Test team in Australia than newly appointed Shan Masood.
