India’s Seema Kaliramna clinched the bronze medal in the women’s discus throw final at the Commonwealth Games 2026 on Thursday.
Her best throw of 58.65m on her second attempt — she just had two legal throws out of six — was enough to get her on the podium. The other Indian in the field, Nidhi Rani, finished fourth with a best throw of 57.10m.
This is India’s ninth medal in women’s discus throw at the Games and Kaliramna is the sixth different medallist. Seema Punia has four CWG medals to her name, including three silver.
