New Delhi, July 22, 2026: Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM), promoted by Procam International, steps into its third decade and celebrates a legacy that has redefined distance running in India. While signalling its continued commitment to creating impact, this legacy now moves forward – breaking barriers, embracing new generations of runners, inspiring healthier communities, strengthening the culture of giving, and bringing people together through the transformative power of running.

Registrations for the World Athletics Gold Label race will commence tomorrow, Thursday, 23rd July 2026, at 7:00 a.m. IST, for both the physical and virtual races at https://vedantadelhihalfmarathon.procam.in/.

With a prize purse of USD 260,000, VDHM is one of the world’s most sought-after races for amateurs and Elites alike. The race will be flagged off from the prestigious, iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday, 18th October 2026, and wind its way back to JLNS after passing through some of the most iconic landmarks of Delhi.

VDHM Social-Economic-Health Impact Report 2025

The VDHM Socio-Economic-Health Impact Report 2025 is a collaborative initiative by Procam International and Miranda House, University of Delhi, highlighting the far-reaching positive impact of the race on public health, economic growth, philanthropy, sustainability, and community well-being, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for meaningful change.

Participation Statistics

· 39,513 total participants, marking the highest turnout in the post-COVID era

· 9,709 female participants, accounting for 25% of the total field, reflecting steady progress towards greater gender inclusivity

Economic Impact

Increased participation from across India and overseas generated ₹24.71 crore in travel and hospitality spending, benefiting the local economy.
Growing interest in running and greater awareness of technology and high-performance training led participants to spend a combined ₹251.34 crore on technology, gear, equipment, shoes, and apparel.
Participants also prioritised training, medical care, nutrition, food, and supplements, contributing ₹153.71 crore in related spending.
Green Practices

6,361 kg of waste was processed and diverted from landfills.
17 m³ of landfill space was saved.
23,011 kg CO₂of greenhouse gas emissions were avoided.
Delivered a 100% waste-managed event.

Social Impact

NGOs, corporates, and individual fundraisers collectively raised ₹4.12 crore for charitable causes in 2025.
Funds were raised in support of all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Inspiring Healthier Lives

· 97.8% of participants value mental discipline as an integral part of their training

· 93.1% of participants reported reduced medication usage after adopting a running routine

Enhancing the Runner Experience

Run Green, Ride Free with Delhi Metro: As part of the race-day experience, all registered participants of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon will enjoy complimentary travel on the Delhi Metro on 18th October 2026. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will commence Metro services earlier than usual, enabling runners to reach the venue comfortably and well in time for the race.

PUMA Race Day Tees: Continuing the tradition, every Half Marathon and 10K participant will receive an exclusive Race Day Tee from PUMA, the Sports Goods Partner. More than just race apparel, the Tee represents the discipline, perseverance, and unwavering commitment that define every runner’s journey to the start line.

Vedanta Metal Finisher Medal: Every finisher will be awarded a specially crafted medal made using zinc sourced from Hindustan Zinc’s legendary Zawar Mines in Rajasthan.

Debutantes & Home Run Squad: VDHM Debutantes will be awarded a special race bib recognising first-time runners, and the Home Run Squad, encouraging families to participate together across multiple race categories and celebrate their shared achievement.
