KKR’s skipper , Eoin Morgan responsibly bore the torch to register another win for Kolkata Knight Riders against PBKS in match 21 of the IPL season. The skipper contributed 47 runs off 40 balls.
KKR started on a shaky start as PBKs bowlers stole three early wickets of Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill and Sunil Narine. However, Morgan and Rahul Tripathi bumped up the team’s foundation score with a 50-run partnership.
PBKS opener Mayank Aggarwal ‘s 31runs off 34 balls and Chris Jordan’s 30 off 18 contributed to the 120 mark. Prasidh Krishna put up a good front on the defence and delivered three wickets for 30. Adding to the wins, Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine also scored a couple of wickets.
KKR won by 5 wickets
