Meerut, September 18, 2026: Ghaziabad Cricket Association and MDCA Meerut Red booked their places in the final of the 17th Master Vaibhav T20 Championship after contrasting victories in the semi-finals at the Gandhi Bagh Cricket Stadium on Friday. Ghaziabad Cricket Association edged past Cricket Association Lucknow by 10 runs in a rain-shortened 10-over contest, while MDCA Meerut Red defeated DSA Moradabad by seven wickets in the second semi-final. The two sides will meet in the championship final on Saturday, September 19.

Ghaziabad Cricket Association beat Cricket Association Lucknow by 10 runs
In the first semi-final, Ghaziabad Cricket Association posted 158/4 in 10 overs after the match was reduced due to rain and a wet outfield. Shantanu Singh produced a sensational 94 off 29 balls, including 11 sixes, while Prince Yadav added 32 off 14. Cricket Association Lucknow responded with 148/7 in 10 overs, with Himanshu Singh scoring 68 off 24 and Satyam Pandey making 46 off 20. Nishant Thakur’s three-wicket haul helped Ghaziabad Cricket Association defend their total and secure a 10-run victory.

MDCA Meerut Red beat DSA Moradabad by 7 wickets
In the second semi-final, another rain-shortened 10-over contest saw DSA Moradabad post 87/9, with Mirza Danish Alam scoring 22 and Kushal Yadav contributing 20. Prashant Chaudhary, Vineet Panwar and Nirdesh Baisoya took two wickets each for MDCA Meerut Red. In reply, Sameer Rizvi smashed an unbeaten 45 off 19 balls to guide MDCA Meerut Red to 89/3 in 8.1 overs and a seven-wicket victory. Harsh Tyagi added 16, while Rituraj Sharma finished unbeaten on nine.
