Saudi Arabia to host Ukraine peace talks. Ukrainian official says Saudi Arabia gathering will discuss Kyiv’s 10-point peace formula, which calls for departure of all Russian troops.
1. A Parliamentary Delegation from Malawi, led by the Speaker of Malawi National Assembly, Catherine Gotani Hara called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
2. The three-day Think 20 conference under G20 India Presidency began in Mysuru with traditional welcome to the delegates.
3. A delegation from Confederation of Indian Industries and Vivekananda International Foundation met Governor of the Northern Province Mrs. PSM Charles in Jaffna. Mrs. Charles highlighted the role of Indian investments to aid Sri Lanka’s economic recovery.

5. India on Monday handed over humanitarian aid comprising sleeping bags, blankets and tents to crisis-hit Ukraine. The aid was handed over by Indian Ambassador to Ukraine Harsh Jain.“

1. In Ukraine, at least four persons have been killed and 53 others injured in Russian missiles attack at the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih.
2. Myanmar’s National Defence and Security Council (NDSC) agreed to extend the country’s state of emergency by six months.
3. Sri Lanka’s key inflation rate nearly halves to 6.3% in July from 12% June 2023.
4. Death toll in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to 46 and over 100 persons suffered injuries. Pakistan police said that an initial probe has suggested that ISIS is behind the suicide attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
5. In Bangladesh, Jatiya Sangsad Election is likely to be held in late December this year. Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh, Kazi Habibul Awal, informed.
6. Denmark’s government said that it would put legal limitations in order to stop the demonstrations involving the burning Quran or other religious texts.

9. Recently the European Union (EU) has suspended all security cooperation with Niger after the country’s army took power in a coup. It comes shortly after the US declared its unflagging support for ousted president Mohamed Bazoum – seen as a key Western ally in the fight against Islamist militants.
10. The outlawed Islamabad-based terrorist group Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is seeking a merger with the global Sunni pan-Islamist terrorism group Al-Qaeda to formulate an umbrella organisation to provide safe refuge to all the terror groups operating in South Asia, a report submitted to the UN Security Council on July 25 has warned.
11. A Soviet emblem on Ukraine’s Motherland Monument in Kyiv has been cut off amid ongoing war with Russia. The Soviet hammer and sickle emblem will be replaced with Ukraine’s tryzub emblem ahead of the country’s Independence Day. Notably, Ukraine has also moved the official Christmas Day holiday to December 25 from January 7 in a bid to “abandon Russian heritage”.
12. Pakistan and China have signed six agreements to expedite cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng witnessed the signing ceremony held to mark 10 years of CPEC.
