1. Today Children’s Day is celebrated across India to raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year on the birthday of the first prime minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

2. The 42nd edition of the India International Trade Fair 2023 is set to be inaugurated tomorrow at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. The inaugural ceremony will be led by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel. The theme of the fourteen day fair is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

3. PM Modi will launch PM PVTG (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups) Development Mission on 15th November in a huge step to empower tribals.

1. In Uttarakhand, Relief and rescue work is underway in the Silkyara under construction Tunnel on the Yamunotri National Highway in Uttarkashi district for the second day. Uttarkashi District Magistrate Abhishek Ruhela said that all the workers are safe inside the tunnel and they are being provided adequate food and oxygen through pipes.

2. At least nine people have been killed and several others were injured after a fire broke out in the Indian city of Hyderabad at a chemical warehouse on Monday (Nov 13). The incident, which took place in the city’s Nampally area, is said to have been caused by a spark during a car repair.

1. The Government of India signed a 400 million dollar policy-based loan with Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support its urban reform agenda under the Sustainable Urban Development and Service Delivery Programme. The aim of the programme is to create high quality urban infrastructure, improve service delivery and promote efficient governance systems.

2. Indian-based PTC Industries and Safran Aircraft Engines, the French global leader in aero engine design, development, and manufacturing, announced a multi-year contract to develop industrial cooperation for LEAP engines casting parts as per a SAFRAN communication to the media.Under the terms of the contract, PTC Industries will produce titanium-casting parts for Safran Aircraft Engines.

3. The Dutch division of Tata Steel on November 13 said it would cut around 800 jobs at its IJmuiden plant in an effort to increase profitability. Tata currently employs around 9,200 people in IJmuiden.

1. The much awaited joint exercise of the three wings of the military ‘Trishakti Prahar’ began near the western border of Rajasthan in Jaisalmer on Monday.

The aim of the exercise was to practice battle preparedness of the Security Forces using the latest weapons and equipment in a networked, integrated environment, involving all arms and services of the Army, the Indian Air Force and CAPFs.

2. India showcases cutting-edge aerospace innovations at the Dubai Air Show, featuring advanced defence technologies from top companies like BEL, DRDO, and MDN; reaffirming its commitment to global leadership in defence advancements.

3. Indian armed forces—comprising the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force—are set to place logistical support-related orders to the tune of Rs 45,000-50,000 crore.

The deals may involve as many as 5,000 trucks (may include 7.5 ton and 2.5 ton trucks ). The three possible front-runners for the orders: TATA Advanced Systems (part of the TATA group), Bharat Forge (part of the Kalyani Group) and Ashok Leyland.
