7. The CSIR – National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Science City of Andhra Pradesh. The Ministry of Science and Technology said the MoU has been signed to strengthen science communication and promote collaborative research in Science.
8. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu yesterday distributed houses to beneficiaries at Naidupeta in Tirupati district and took part in their house-warming ceremonies under the TIDCO housing scheme. As part of a statewide programme, 250,983 houses constructed under TIDCO and PMAY were handed over at more than 30 locations. Of these, 15,659 houses were allotted in Tirupati district.
9. The Telangana government has given approval for a six-lane bi-directional flyover and two uni-directional underpasses in Hyderabad, With an aim to reduce traffic congestion between Miyapur, Allwyn X Roads, Hafeezpet and Bachupally, the project will be taken up at a contract value of Rs 384.45.

Union government is considering a major policy shift to extend social security coverage to unorganised sector workers by bringing them under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). The proposal aims to ensure pension and insurance benefits for millions of workers currently outside formal welfare systems, including gig and platform workers.

A retired Army brigadier was fatally shot in Dehradun during a crossfire between two groups involved in a dispute over a nightclub bill. Four individuals, including the owner of the ‘Zen-G’ nightclub, have been arrested in connection with the Dehradun shooting incident.
Retired Brigadier Mukesh Joshi (74), who was out for a morning walk, was struck by a bullet and later died in hospital.

Actor Salman Khan is set to collaborate with National Award-winning director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju for a high-octane action drama. The yet-untitled project marks the first time the trio is coming together and is scheduled to go on floors in April 2026.
At present, Salman Khan is occupied with promotions for his upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace, earlier titled Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakia and co-starring Chitrangda Singh, the film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2026. It was initially planned for an April 17, 2026 release but was reportedly postponed due to patchwork and reshoot requirements.
