1. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his ex-wife Aaliya have been asked to appear before Bombay High Court on April 3, along with their children. The court was hearing a petition filed by Nawazuddin, seeking a direction to his ex-wife to reveal the whereabouts of their 12-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, who, he alleged, were brought to India from Dubai without his knowledge.

2. NDTV announced to the stock exchanges that Upendra Kumar Sinha, the former chairman of Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has been appointed as the non-executive chairperson and independent director of the NDTV board of directors. Additionally, Dipali Goenka, the CEO of Welspun India, has also been appointed as an independent director on the NDTV board.

DEFENCE

1. Ministry of Defence on Thursday signed contracts for procurement of improved Akash Weapon System and 12 Weapon Locating Radars, WLR Swathi (Plains) for the Indian Army at an overall cost of over nine thousand 100 crore rupees.

2. Defence Ministry of India inked a contract with BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited for procurement of Next Generation Maritime Mobile Coastal Batteries (Long range) & BrahMos Missiles at approx. cost of over Rs 1,700cr under Buy (Indian) Category.

3. Defence Ministry of India signs Rs 19,600 crore contracts with Indian shipyards for acquisition of 11 Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels & six Next Generation Missile Vessels for Indian Navy.

4. India to achieve defence equipment export target worth Rs 40,000 crore by 2026, says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

5. Union government has sanctioned Rs 6,828 crore worth of contract to Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) at Ozar in Nashik district for manufacturing 70 HTT-40 aircraft.
