The 41 workers, who got trapped in the tunnel on November 12, were rescued from the collapsed tunnel in Uttarkashi after a gruelling 16-day operation that culminated on Tuesday evening.

The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday said it has seized cash and jewellery worth about Rs 5 crore after fresh searches against ABG Shipyard and others as part of a money laundering probe linked to an alleged bank loan fraud. The searches were undertaken on November 24 at seven locations in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi.
4. The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of the Fast Track Special Court (FTSCs) for a further three years. It has been extended till 31st March 2026 with financial implications of over 1952 crore rupees.

1. Ministry of Defence will take up deals to buy 97 TEJAS MK-1A aircraft and upgrade 84 Sukhoi 30 fighter jets at the Defence Acquisition Council meeting on November 30. The discussions on two ‘colossal’ fighter aircraft projects, collectively valued at Rs 1.3 lakh crore.
2. The US government has offered the Stryker armoured fighting vehicle’s air defence system version which can be deployed in high altitude areas to take out enemy aircraft to the Indian military.
