1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that dense to very dense fog conditions will continue over various parts of India. These conditions will prevail over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura.

11. Ministry of Education has said that reservation in Central Educational Institutions is provided for all the posts in direct recruitment in Teacher’s cadre as per the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) on Sunday clarified that no reserved posts can be de-reserved after draft guidelines by the University Grants Commission (UGC) proposed that any vacancy reserved for SC, ST and OBC candidates can be declared unreserved if enough candidates from these categories are not available.

12. Congress president M Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday said his party has held talks with all alliance partners of INDIA bloc on seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal said his party will contest all the 90 Assembly seats in Haryana on its own but the Lok Sabha polls will be fought as part of the I.N.D.I.A bloc. The Lok Sabha polls are due in April-May while the Assembly elections will be held later this year a few months after the general elections.

1. Keragodu village in Mandya of Karnataka faced tense moments on Sunday after the authorities removed a ‘Hanuma dwaja’, a saffron flag bearing lord Hanuman’s portrait, from a 108-ft tall flag post.

2. 19 girls from Jharkhand, including 14 minors, were recently rescued from various locations in Delhi. This rescue operation followed the arrest of two traffickers from the state’s Sahebganj district just days prior. The rescued girls aged between 12 and 18 years belong to Borio block in Sahebganj district.

3. A Ram Janaki temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur received a bomb threat on Sunday, six days after the Pran Prathishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Several posters mentioning bomb threats were pasted on the walls and scattered on the floor of the ancient temple.

1. Rafale fighter jets will soon be made in Nagpur by French company Dassault, said Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday while addressing the inaugural of Advantage Vidarbha, an industry event to draw investments.

2. HOUTHI ATTACK:The firefighting team of the Indian Navy warship, INS Visakhapatnam successfully brought the fire onboard the merchant vessel Marlin Luanda under control on Saturday.

Captain Avinash Rawat, the master of MV Marlin Luanda, thanked the Indian Navy for its help in extinguishing the fire on his ship following a missile strike by the Houthis in the Gulf of Eden. The crew of the merchant vessel comprised of 22 Indians and one person from Bangladesh.

Indian missile destroyer INS Visakhapatnam on Saturday answered a distress signal from MV Marlin Luanda, an oil tanker operated by the UK-based Oceonix Services, that had come under a missile attack from the Iranian-backed Houthis in the Gulf of Aden on Friday.
