1. The Gujarat High Court slammed State Bank of India (SBI) for denying no-dues certificate of a farmer in Gujarat for an outstanding owed amount of 31 paise. The farmer, Shamjibhai Pashabhai needed the certificate for a land deal in the outskirts of Ahmedabad.

1. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Vivek Chaudhari on 28 Apr inaugurated the logistics seminar LOGISEM VAYU-2022 in New Delhi.

2. India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier (IAC) Vikrant being built by the Cochin Shipyard Ltd will be handed over to the Indian Navy by1 August this year.

The warship has been built at a cost of around ₹23,000 crore and its construction propelled India into a select group of countries having capabilities to build state-of-the-art aircraft carriers. The warship will operate MiG-29K fighter jets, Kamov-31 helicopters, MH-60R multi-role helicopters.

3. PM Modi on Thursday said the Centre is making efforts to remove the entire northeast from the ambit of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA), which provides sweeping powers and immunity from criminal prosecution. PM said at a public meeting at Loringthepi in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.
