1. President Droupadi Murmu will visit Bikaner in Rajasthan on Monday. The President will formally inaugurate and address the 14th Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav at Bikaner. The nine-day event, a flagship festival of the Ministry of Culture, aims to preserve, promote and popularise the rich cultural heritage of India.

2. MANN KI BAAT Highlights

(a) Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 98th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’yesterday. In the last episode, he urged the citizens to read about the lives and stories of people who have been conferred with the ‘Padma’ Awards

3. India’s first robotic elephant for ritual duties. Sree Krishna Temple in Kerala’s Thrissur district has become the first in the country to use a mechanical, lifelike elephant for temple rituals.

4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on Monday and inaugurate the Shivamogga airport, which is developed at a cost of ₹450 crore. The passenger terminal building of the airport can handle 300 passengers per hour.

1. Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested on Sunday after around eight hours of interrogation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.

Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been deployed outside the CBI headquarters in the national capital after Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested by CBI. 1. PM Modi will release the 13th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme at Belagavi in Karnataka on Monday. With this instalment, an amount of over 16 thousand eight hundred crore rupees will be deposited directly in the accounts of more than eight crore farmers under the scheme.

2. Uttar Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Association (MoA) of over ₹5,000 crore with Tata Technologies to upgrade 150 ITIs in the state.

DEFENCE

1. Indian Air Force (IAF) on Sunday airlifted 388 stranded passengers from Jammu to the Union Territory of Ladakh, a defence spokesman said. The IAF provided the facility of IL-76 aircraft which airlifted 388 citizens of Ladakh from Jammu to Leh.

2. Tejas Light Combat Aircraft is set to participate in its maiden war game outside India as five such IAF jets will take to the skies at an international air exercise in the UAE between February 27 and March 17.

An Indian Air Force contingent of 110 air warriors has arrived at Al Dhafra air base to participate in Exercise Desert Flag VIII.

3. Former Indian Army soldiers from across Telangana staged a protest at Hyderabad’s Indira Park alleging that the state government has been neglecting them in welfare schemes.
