4. How Ram Mandir will boost Ayodhya’s economy : Key points to know.

(a) INFRASTRUCTURE
Along with the beautification of roads and building of public infrastructure, several mutts, ashrams, dharmashalas and hotels for commercial purpose are being built across Ayodhya.

(b) More than 50 big hotel projects are underway in the city. These include leading names in the hospital industry like the Taj, Oberoi, Trident, Marriott, Radisson and Ginger.

(c) Travel and tourism have already generated more than 20,000 jobs in Ayodhya. Now, with increased tourism and a boost to the hospitality sector, the number is only expected to rise from here annually.

The temple will be open for devotees from January 23, Ayodhya is set to witness a drastic rise in religious tourism.

5. PRADHANMANTRI SURYODAYA YOJANA : The meeting was held at Lok Kalyan Marg and the scheme was announced after he returned from Ayodhya where he attended the consecration ceremony of Ram temple.

1. The Supreme Court of India issued notice to the Tamil Nadu government and others on a plea against ban on live telecast of Lord Ram’s ‘Pran Prathishta’ in temples.

2. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman criticised the DMK government for not allowing LED screens inside the Srikamatchiamman temple premises to watch the live broadcast of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple at Ayodhya.

3. Manipur Police rejects allegations by Kuki organisation of collusion between security forces and insurgent groups in Moreh town. Miscreants from Myanmar are accused of causing trouble in the state. The police deny allegations of collaboration with valley-based insurgent groups and Meitei terrorists disguised as security force personnel. Two police commandos were killed in terrorist attacks in Moreh, fuelling tensions.

4. A widely circulated image shows a projection of Lord Ram on the Burj Khalifa building is fake. Burj Khalifa has not been illuminated with a projection of Lord Ram in view of the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The viral image is created digitally by superimposing an image of Lord Ram onto a stock photo of the Burj Khalifa. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

1. The Oscars 2024 nominations are on cusp of being announced in Hollywood. On Tuesday (23 January), the latest round of nominations will be revealed during a live stream hosted by Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Joker) and Jack Quaid (The Boys, Oppenheimer) in Los Angeles. The Oscars will be held on March 10.

1. Ram Mandir consecration: Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers showered vibrant flower petals over the temple grounds.

2. The 11th edition of India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise KHANJAR has commenced at the Special Forces Training School in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh. The exercise is scheduled to be conducted from 22nd January to 3rd February 2024. It is an annual event conducted alternatively in both the countries.

3. The Indian Army contingent comprising 25 personnel reached Egypt to take part in the 2nd edition of India-Egypt Joint Special Forces Exercise CYCLONE . The Exercise will be conducted at Anshas, Egypt from 22nd January to 1st February 2024. The first edition of the exercise was conducted last year in India.

4. THE INDIAN AIR FORCE COMMENCED AN-32 COURIER SERVICE. The air courier service from Kargil to Jammu resumed its operations from 22 January to facilitate movement of people during the winter months.

6. The Indian Navy is closely monitoring the movement of the Chinese ocean research vessel XIANG YANG HONG 03 , which is reported to be heading towards Male, the capital of the Maldives.

The vessel has been observed in key strategic locations such as the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), the Bay of Bengal, and the Arabian Sea. Chinese research vessels, often perceived as spy ships, have been making regular forays into the Indian Ocean, heightening concerns about China’s increasing maritime presence.
