1. 💐🌙Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated across different parts of the country today with religious devotion and enthusiasm. The festival marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
President Smt Droupadi Murmu has extended greetings to the citizens on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

2. President Smt Droupadi Murmu inaugurates Nand Kishor Somani Oncology Block at Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama Hospital in Vrindavan. She said that the vision of a strong and self-reliant India can be realized only when its citizens are healthy.

3. In Puducherry seat-sharing among the National Democratic Alliance has been finalised. Sixteen seats have been allotted to the All India N.R. Congress, ten to the Bharatiya Janata Party and two seats each have been given to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Latchiya Jananayaka Katchi. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy filed his nomination papers from Thattanchavady and Mangalam constituencies.

4. The All India Trinamool Congress has issued it’s election manifesto for the upcoming Assembly election in West Bengal. The manifesto talked about ten Protigya or ten commitments for the development of West Bengal.

5. The government will launch a nationwide drive to identify and enrol out-of-school and dropout children, aiming to achieve 100 per cent enrolment by 2030 under the National Education Policy.

6. In Uttarakhand, the cabinet led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been expanded with the induction of five MLAs. At a swearing-in ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Dehradun today, Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Gurmit Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers.

In West Bengal, after the scrutiny of voters whose names were under adjudication in the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process, the first supplementary list of disputed voters published yesterday. The final electoral roll, which was released on the 28th of February after intensive revision, had more than sixty lakhs names pending in the adjudication list.

8. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade convened the 110th meeting of the Network Planning Group in New Delhi to evaluate infrastructure projects. The meeting focused on enhancing multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency in alignment with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. It evaluated two Rail, Metro and two Highway projects, each for their conformity to the PM GatiShakti principles of integrated multimodal infrastructure.

9. Ministry of Education will organise the Bharat Innovates Deep-Tech Pre-Summit in Mumbai to position India as a global powerhouse in deep-tech innovation.

14. The Uttar Pradesh government confirms 1,228 nursing officers will receive appointment letters on 22 March, with CM Yogi Adityanath presenting 492 letters and the rest distributed at affiliated medical institutions.

1. NCERT Textbook Row : Centre Informs Supreme Court Of Expert Committee Members Reviewing Chapter in Judiciary.

Last month, NCERT’s proposed book for Class 8 social science created a controversy over a chapter on ‘corruption in the judiciary’. The Supreme Court took a suo motu case over the chapter, and directed the ban of the book. The NCERT later issued a public apology for printing the chapter and withdrew the same.

2. Delhi Police has implemented multi-layered security arrangements across the city in view of the festival of Eid today.

3. The Delhi High Court on Friday quashed the Look Out Circulars (LOCs) issued against former NDTV promoters Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy in connection with two cases registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

4. The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the customs department arrested four passengers, including a foreign national, at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in connection with a consignment of hydroponic cannabis worth around ₹64 crore.

1. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth said that MSMEs and Start-ups are playing a central role in making India a global defence manufacturing hub. The Minister said this while delivering the valedictory session of the National Defence Industries Conclave (NDIC) 2026.

2. The first batch of 50 Agniveers inducted into the Aviation Stream of the Corps of EME has commenced training at the Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering (FAE), Military College of Electronics & Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad.

3. The Indian Army has conducted trials of its newly raised “Shaurya Squadron.” This specialized unit is designed for deep surveillance and close combat reconnaissance to enhance frontline intelligence gathering, improve situational awareness, and support precision operations in high-risk environments.

4. India is aiming to become a global exporter of fully built warships. However, its immediate focus remains on expanding the Indian Navy to a 200-ship force. Once domestic requirements for destroyers and submarines are met, India plans to scale up exports backed by maintenance support and long-term strategic partnerships.

5. Promoting community development and sustainable tourism, the Indian Army has built a unique café – Border Brew Café – on a decommissioned bridge in Tawang district, under Operation Sadbhavana.

The café, which was inaugurated on Wednesday, stands as a unique and pioneering initiative, constructed on a decommissioned Bailey bridge over the Nyamjang Chu river.
