1. The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu will be the Chief Guest at an esteemed ceremony to celebrate the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ to be organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Union Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, on December 3, 2022 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

2. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu will confer the annual National Awards on individuals, institutions, organizations and state/district, etc., for their outstanding achievements and work towards the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

3. The Government calls all party meeting on December 2 ahead of Winter Session of Parliament.

4. The Counting date for assembly elections in Mizoram changed to December 4 , counting for Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and Telangana to be held on 03 December.

5. The MICHAUNG cyclone is expected to pack a maximum wind speed of 60-70 kmph, gusting to 80 kmph. Michaung is named after a suggestion by Myanmar. It is the sixth cyclone in the Indian Ocean and the fourth in the Bay of Bengal.

10. Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday said that only 17% of municipal solid waste was being reprocessed in 2014 and now it has reached at 76%.

11. The total annual ground water recharge in India for 2023 is 449.08 billion cubic meters (BCM), marking an increase of 11.48 billion cubic meters as compared to 2022: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat releases Dynamic Ground Water Resource Assessment Report for 2023.

12. Indian Railways has achieved over one thousand metric tonnes of freight loading from April to November this year. The Railways Ministry said, this is an improvement of around 36 metric tonnes over last year’s loading for the same period.

Highlighting that India is among the only few countries in the world on track to fulfil its climate pledges, PM Modi on Friday proposed to host the United Nations climate conference in 2028, and also launched a ‘Green Credit Initiative’ focused on creating carbon sinks through people’s participation.

17. According to the Exit Poll Results 2023 : Congress leads in Chhattisgarh & Telangana, BJP likely to win MP & Rajasthan.

The elections for the five states — Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram — were conducted in four phases spanning from 07 Nov to 30 Nov. The results of all these states will be declared on 03 December.

1. Widespread panic hit Bengaluru on Friday morning after forty-eight private schools received a bomb threat via email. As the school authorities alerted the police, parents scrambled to the respective schools of their children.

The authorities also reached the schools with bomb disposal squads to rule out the possibilities of bombs inside schools. The security apparatus of the Karnataka city hasn’t found a bomb inside any school as of now but is cautious.

2. The report of the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee recommending the expulsion of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in a “cash-for-query” case will be tabled in the lower house of Parliament on Monday.

3. The Assam government has suspended 21 state civil, police and allied service officers for their alleged involvement in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) ‘cash for job’ scam.

4. Cocaine Worth Rs 220 Crore Seized from Cargo Ship at Paradip Port in Odisha.

The Governor of a state cannot refer bills passed by the legislature and readopted by it for presidential assent, the Supreme Court ruled on Friday, and asked Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi to hold a meeting with Chief Minister M K Stalin in an effort to end the impasse over 10 such pending bills.

1. The gross Goods and Services Tax, GST revenue collection in the month of November this year stood at around one lakh 68 thousand crore rupees. The revenue for the month of November is 15 per cent higher than the GST revenue in the same month of last year.

1. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu has said that the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune has done commendable work in providing medical services in the country and abroad in its glorious history of 75 years.

2. The government is making all-out efforts to bring back eight former naval personnel from Qatar, who were handed death sentences by a Qatari court, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said.

6. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh took over as the 24th General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Shimla-based Army Training Command on 01 December.

7. Navy set to withdraw its ceremonial uniform ‘No.2’, replace it with half-sleeved shirts & trousers. The ‘No.2’ will be replaced with a half-sleeved shirt and white trousers, also known as ‘8A’, which naval personnel already wear while carrying out their day-to-day duties. The only change during ceremonies will be that these uniforms will be worn with medals, just as the previous uniforms.

8. NDA passing-out parade from the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla:

(a) A total of 348 cadets, including 21 cadets from 10 foreign countries, passed out, which included 186 from the Army, 105 from the Air Force and 36 from the Navy on Thursday.

(b) Two cadets from Punjab bag top honours on completion of three years’ training and graduation at NDA Khadakwasla, Pune.

(i) Battalion Cadet Captain (BCC) Pratham Singh, who hails from Pathankot, was awarded the President’s Gold Medal for standing overall first in the order of merit of the 145th Course.

A fourth generation officer in his family, Pratham is an alumnus of the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehrudun. His mother, Col Anuvandana Jaggi is an officer with the Corps of Signals and is at present commanding an operational unit in Rajasthan.

His grandfather Col Teerath Singh was decorated with the Vir Chakra for gallantry during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, while his great grandfather, Lt Col Randheer Singh Salaria was the first officer in the family.

He is also the recipient of the Chief of Naval Staff’s Trophy and Commandant’s Silver Medal for standing first in order of merit in academics in computer science.

(ii) The Chief of Air Staff’s Trophy and Commandant’s Silver Medal for standing first in order of merit in academics in social science was awarded to Division Cadet Captain Vikram Singh, who belongs to Bathinda.
