1. Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse chaired a high-level meeting with Vice-Chancellors of 93 universities from across the country to strengthen the engagement of higher educational institutions in major youth-focused initiatives of the Ministry.
2. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test 2026. Students can check their results by logging into the official NTA website using their Application number and password. The AIAPGET examination was conducted on the 22nd of the last month in two shifts across nearly 205 centres.
3. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav yesterday held a high-level meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to review measures for improving air quality in eight NCR-linked districts of the state. These include Noida, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Bulandshahr.

8. Keralam Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has announced the second phase of Operation Toofan to curb drug trafficking in the state.
9. The ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme was held across Andhra Pradesh as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life. People and public representatives in several parts of the state lit lamps at their homes and iconic places as part of the programme.
10. World Bamboo Day is being celebrated yesterday, highlighting the environmental, economic, cultural and sustainable development value of bamboo. 1. A Supreme Court bench has decided to visit the National Testing Agency’s new Delhi headquarters to examine its infrastructure and manpower. The move comes during proceedings concerning reforms to the NTA following concerns over examination management.
2. The Delhi High Court has granted bail to British citizen Jagtar Singh Johal in seven NIA cases, taking into account his prolonged incarceration and his acquittal in one related case.
3. The Supreme Court reaffirmed that banks and NBFCs must follow due process and RBI guidelines when repossessing financed vehicles. Banks cannot forcibly seize vehicles for loan defaults and harassment cannot be used for recovery.
4. The Delhi High Court today ordered that no victory procession should be taken out after the declaration of results of Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections. It also asked all student organisations and candidates to explain why electoral damages should not be imposed on them for violation of norms.

Security forces kill 2 Jaish Terrorists under Operation Sohan in Udhampur district, J&K: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma commends White Knight Corps for successfully neutralizing two Jaish Terrorists under Operation Sohan in Udhampur. Army Commander Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, complimented White Knight Corps for their swift, precise and professional action in neutralizing two terrorists during Operation Sohan in Majalta area of Udhampur district.

The Public Sector Aviation Manufacturer, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), yesterday handed over Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas Final Operational Clearance Twin Seater Trainers and HTT 40 Basic Trainer Aircraft to the Indian Air Force in Bengaluru yesterday. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the handing-over ceremony.
During his visit to HAL in Bengaluru, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stressed timely completion of defence projects and urged scientists and engineers to develop technologies that do not currently exist.

4 Frances’s Naval Group and India’s NIBE Limited have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 18 September 2026 to strengthen India’s naval shipbuilding and maritime technology ecosystem, with a focus on underwater drones, mine countermeasure vessels, submarine systems, and modular weapon-launching platforms.
5. India and Russia have continued to deepen their military cooperation during the official visit of Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth to Moscow.
